The proposal was to break the whole design workflow into main phases to guide designers along the way. We call it a process, but it doesn't have to be followed literally — it's a guideline, not a by-the-book process.
Before designing it, I spoke with each team member to understand how they worked and what they expected from a guideline.
The result was a process broken into phases that frame what should be done at each one — with the explicit statement that everything depends on context and judgement.
